FSF-1 Sea Fighter is a warship prototype designed to test the ability to ship a battleship catamarans future belongs to the U.S. Navy. FSF project has been in operation since 2003 and if the test showed positive results, the FSF board configuration to replace Destroyer ship types that apply now. Catamaran construction was chosen because found to be more effectively used when rough seas while having a lower coefficient of friction for a similar-sized conventional vessels. In tests conducted FSF-1 is capable of moving up to a speed of 50 knots (90 kph) compared to only 30 knots (56 kph) untukkapal Arleigh Burke class destroyer now.
Unlike other conventional warship, the FSF board is interchangeable according to mission requirements. The interior can be filled with the components of electronic warfare, missile launch or a small boat launch. Interior design variable versetil and countless more easily be upgrading in the future. The flat top deck can also be a place to land two helicopters compared to only one in normal destroyers. Besides this ship flat design also makes it difficult to use radar detection.
